With the pandemic, its a bit hard to find inspiration, so I walked around my house

gathering antiques for a still life.

Here is what I completed, a rare 'guy' painting.

 What's done and off the easel this early September

Tea Pot and Cosmos

11x14 acrylic on wood panel

First time I have painted on a primed wood panel. It reacts very different than canvas. It is nice to have a challenge from time to time that expands your horizons and makes you think about it as you create. I enjoyed this one, after I cleared my head of what a canvas feels like under the brush.

2020 April

Like everyone else, we are all on Covid lockdown.
Its a very scary time for all of us.
But I am seeing some wonderful things also,
Neighbors helping neighbors, grand children skyping
with grand parents, old friends popping up just
to see how you are doing. Wonderful gestures in helping
each other.
Be reflective, there is so much to be happy for, and
even if it is an over used cliche', we WILL get past
this all.
Take care of your family , create art, read a book,
but most of all,
let the ones you love,  know it.

And if my daughter is reading this, give us a call.
Life is too short to be too busy.
